I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 for about a year now, and so far had no problems, until now. Just yesterday the speakers on my laptop started crackling when playin any time of audio - iTunes, Yuotube, etc. I thought it was only somethign small but it has become really damn annoying now. It lets out a little crackle/ buzz noise when music is started or stopped and crackles away during songs. But when i plug in my headphones it seems to be ok.

Now another thing is, yeasterday afternoon I downloaded soem free music software - "Zulu DJ" and messing around with it a bit but I don't see how this could cause this problem.

If anyone has any info that could help, or has experienced this problem nad has a solution would be great.

Couild be something physical like a small piece of metal stuck to the magnet in the speaker cone. has happened to me with both laptops and mobile phones.

Foreign object earthing speaker? Or a loose speaker wire from a dry solder joint [or drop, but we know that did not happen].

Well I haven't dropped it or anything. But if there was something stuck to the speakers magnet, does that mean I'd have to remove the casing of the laptop? Or Should I get someone professional to have a look????
