    Hi Guys,
I only have my iPhone about a month now and I was always against Jailbreaking, I still have two minds about it and I just have a few questions for you guys as I don't know much about it myself.

Firstly is this a good description on how to do it?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMehsbxPCMQ

    Here's a few questions I have:
    • If you mess up the jailbreaking procedure will the phone stop working? (have never jailbroken a iphone and am nervous about doing it)
    • What side effects can it have on your phone, when Jailbroken?
    • If something happens to your phone when it is jailbroken is it easy to restore?
    • If restored after being Jailbroken back to normal self, do you get your warranty back?
    • Is cydia easy to use?
    • Has there been any trouble with the latest programs for jailbreaking 3.1.3 firmware?
    • Is Jailbreaking worth doing, If you don't know anything about doing it?
Thanks guys, I hope you's can help as there are some great app's I really wanna download!
I just don't wanna mess up my iPhone cause i'm a 6 year old with it lol

    Thanks :)

No, but you may lose your data. Do a backup in iTunes first to avoid this.
    • What side effects can it have on your phone, when Jailbroken?
It allows you to use non-App Store apps, change your phone's theme, edit message tones etc.
    • If something happens to your phone when it is jailbroken is it easy to restore?
It's the same as doing a normal restore - plug in and click restore.
    • If restored after being Jailbroken back to normal self, do you get your warranty back?
    Yes.
    • Is cydia easy to use?
Not much more to it than the App Store - a little bit more involved with adding repositories, but nothing to be afraid of.
    • Has there been any trouble with the latest programs for jailbreaking 3.1.3 firmware?
Don't know about 3.1.3, haven't upgraded to it myself.
    • Is Jailbreaking worth doing, If you don't know anything about doing it?
    Undoubtedly.

Go for it imo, not much reason not to...

if it's 3.1.3 that you're currently on, then jailbreaking unfortunately isn't an option for you at the moment :(
You need to have been jailbroken on 3.1.2 or earlier and have a file stored on the cydia servers, so you can downgrade to 3.1.2 and then jailbreak that firmware version...

Thanks for the quick Reply guys,
I read the first one by keane2097 and I was sold,
Then I read Gryzors post and I was back to square one lol
Hopefully they come up with something to jailbreak soon,
    Is it difficult to downgrade?

    Is it difficult to downgrade?

No, very straight forward. But currently the only catch is, u need to have jailbroken on a lower firmware and accessed cydia, before u can downgrade from 3.1.3.
