Pulling a fast one

I shouldn't start a thread titled liked this with "My sister", but here goes...

My sister works for a large accountancy firm who hired a company to supply plants to their offices & contracted them to maintain them - you know, water them, dust the leaves, give them plant food etc.

The bosses were really impressed with the plants & especially how well the maintenance guys had kept them as they always looked very healthy & full of colour, which is not always easy to do in large air conditioned spaces.

Over a year after they had supplied the plants & had spent the past 50+ Friday afternoons doing the maintenance of the plants, a new employee commented on the strangeness of seeing someone water an artificial plant.

It turned out that the company had planted plastic plants in real soil. Class!

So, have you or the company that you work for, ever pulled a fast one?

Yes, had a boss who used to sell remoulded tyres as genuine new ones.

Also knew a florist who used to raid the rubbish pit at the end of the Graveyard and take home anything they could resell.

Sometimes flowers would be only a few hours hours old so would take them.

Also, the back of wreaths are the most expensive parts so they would keep a steady suppy of them going back and forth.

I worked for 20 odd years in a company that constantly pulled a fast one, on everyone of it's customers. Although the bosses came and went the company motto was strictly adhered to by all, at all times. "The Truth will get you Sacked". The company is alive and well and still running the country, the country however, is very ill, very, so much so that new bosses from abroad have now taken over. Their motto is "Do as we Say, Say what we Say".

Alot of hotels and larger buildings do this. Sounds absurd, but if they want to get it, im sure people are happy to be paid to do it for them.
