    This probably has been asked before- but, this thursday evening must clubs/late bars close at 12?

    Yes, they must have the premises cleared by midnight.

    yeah it kinda sucks, but I actually remember drinking in sin in temple bar til 3 in the morning on holy thursday before. It has some kind of theatre license or something. Good craic too.

    Had. Theatre licences were abolished in 2008.

    The Law forbids ALL venues covered under liquor licencing laws to open beyond 12. The only exceptions are residents of hotels (Who must have a meal served with their drink) or under a special exemption issued, such as that for the Limerick Publicans.

    The cases of transport hubs (Boats, airports and railways) and that of National Stadia and National Museums are covered under exemptions of other acts and as such are not covered by the Licencing Laws.

    SIN Bar is one of a select few venues notorious for flouting drink laws; I'm surprised if it hasn't been raided yet.

    Theatre licences still exist; however they don't enjoy their later opening hours anymore so they are effectively useless given that these venues also require a pub licence. SIN bar was one of many venues that abused these special licences and help caused this status/advantage to be called back in for the bona fide theatres around Ireland.
