HELP! Red screen of death?!

    Have a ps3 80gb with 'red screen of death'. I tried all options available when power button held down, no joy:( any advice? only 14 mths old, so reluatant to bin it.

    Thats a new one, to go with Yellow light, and Blu-Ray. What is it doing exactly?

    I think the OP means the yellow light of death to be honest, similar light flashes

    powers up grand, then screen goes red. 'a serious error has occured. please contact support centre'. have tried the usual restart options but all results in the same...red screen. based in the south east. know of any one who repairs ps3 besides forking out the mullah to sony or games shop?

    take out the hard drive and try it again

    see if you get a different error
