Legal Translation in Ireland and the EU

    Hey, I'm basically wondering if there are any lawer-linguists or anyone involved in Legal Translation here? I'm currently studying Arts in UCC (French and Irish), and aim to do a Masters in Translation, specifically Legal Translation.

    I'd love to get some feedback from people currently involved in the field either here or in the EU. How did you get involved in the field? Are there any pathways that you would recommend? I'd also love to hear about the predominent employment opportunities available in this country. And finally (sorry about all the questions!), has anyone studied one of the Masters in Transltion at NUIG, UCD, or Queens?

    I know some people who do this. Remember that the legal frameworks are completely different between France/French and English/Irish. Tom
