Hey all, can anyone recommend me a 37" LCD with 100 Hz? Right now I'm leaning towards the SAMSUNG LE37B651 for €759 on pixmania. I saw the 50Hz version for €499 in DID, but I'm leaning towards the 100Hz.

Has anyone else any other ideas on tv or where to get it??

And does anyone know of newer samsung models due out in the next few weeks??

Thats nearly as good a 37" tv with 100Hz as you're going to find IMO, maybe worth looking at the 37B6000 LED too though? I'd strongly recommend getting a 40" samsung though, better panel than a 37" model. The 40B6000 can be got for under 1000€ at this stage, worth it considering that one from pixmania will bo over 800€ landed here, not to mention pixmania's dubious reputation on customer service

Just trying to justify the extra cash to be honest. Just wondering would I be mad spending upwards to a grand when I could get the 37" 50Hz for €500. Trying to decide / convince myself that the extra 50Hz and 3 inches would be worth almost doubling the price...

    Any takers?! ;)

EDIT: FWIW here's the next model up I'd be considering, the Samsung LE40B651T. Costs a good €400 more though.

Wondering will prices be coming down too any tome soon with new models coming out, and LED and 3D TV and all the rest... Any one know?

    So many questions!

I know, the temptation is always there, to just get a cheapish tv, and god knows i've had the temptation a few times. Its a tough one alright, if you're not used to 100Hz, then you wont miss it, but if you are, you'll always rue not getting a better tv with it. Ye know, actually i saw a 37B651 in action the other day and was impressed, really couldnt see much difference between it and the 40 inch version, i know there is a panel difference though but obviously they've got over it. Its odd, i saw it next to a series 5 samsung, which was 50Hz and the difference was like night and day, the blacks, colours and just quality of the picture was way ebtter on the 100hz set, i've nearly been convinced if you see the 37B651 for a good price its clearly a good buy, it should be available for a lot less than that pixmania price though, 800 is what i'd be expecting to pay for the 40" version

Have been looking around but can't seem to find it at a good price. D.I.D Electrical have it for €900! M&S have the 40" 652 for around the €800 mark, pretty tempting...

Another good TV M&S have is the Philips 42PFL7404H for €715, seems like a pretty good deal for a 42" set with 100Hz.

rather than start a new thread i'll ask here. im looking into getting a new tv for games and the LE37B651 or the LG37LH7000 are top of the list so far. i seen the samsung in currys today for 770 which seems good value considering its 750 on pixmania.

does anyone know what the response time and contrast ratio is on the B651? its give as "ultra contrast" on their site and theres never any mention of response times. also which one would be more suited to gaming and is there anything other 37" tvs around the same price i should look at.
