iphone email client doesn't get new mails?

    Hey,
    Was wondering if anyone else had this problem? Sometimes the email client won't update the inbox when I know there are unread mails to be downloaded. I'm not talking about fetching here, just when I launch the app, it checks for new mail but no new mails come through.

    It's synced with my gmail acc

    I am also having this problem. Up until Thursday I had been getting my mail, but yesterday nothing was coming through on my phone. If I logged on through my desktop the emails were there. I set it up using the google sync instructions. I am on vodafone by the way.

    are you running it through microsoft exchange, rather then the google option, this is the way

    Those are the instructions I followed. Everything was going fine but now it either spends an eternity checking mail (3g or wifi) or says that mail is updated but the last mail it shows is from Thursday.
