In the movie 'Superbad' the charachters are given a list of drinks to get, the appeal of one of the drinks on the list (the name escapes me) was that the gold flakes would cut you as you swallowed it, resulting in the alcohol entering your bloodstream quicker. Im getting frustrated arguing with friends trying to tell them, theres no way such a product could be marketed.

Iv done a nice big search and found something like the drink from the movie goldflakesvodka.jpg but the gold flakes are too fine to cause you any harm.

Does anyone know of any drinks that have tiny fragments in them, that cut your insides... allowing the alcohol into your bloodstream? Im hoping the answer is a resounding "...no," but if yes, please lemme know about it.

    Cheers.

Yeah there is one, called Gold schlager(sp?). Cinnimen flavour. Mix it with Jaeger for a drink called "starry night" lovely! or simply have it on its own. Its great.

Oh wow  so it actually exists :o

Pauly thankyou very much for that link and this quote "An urban legend about Goldschläger is that the gold flakes cut the throat or stomach upon ingestion, allowing the alcohol to directly enter the bloodstream for quicker intoxication. In reality, gold is known for its softness and malleability, and given that the flakes do not have sharp edges, no such lacerations occur," :)

It'd be completely illegal! For the person who linked Goldschlager

Take some time to take a read of the charter please. Discussion on topics such as this isn't welcome.
