    Sorry if this has been asked before. ^^;

    Anywho, as topic title asks, any animé fans in Athlone? I already know some people who are, attend AIT, but live outside of Athlone. Are there any who live in Athlone though?

    I am in Athlone. There is not much around here that I know of anyways, always have to go to Dublin to do or get stuff.

    I live fairly near Athlone and work in Athlone at weekends. I live in the countryside a small bit away from Athlone (and it's about as far to roscommon for me as it is to athlone). Though I'm in college in Limerick during the week.

    I've wanted to get to know some people from Athlone/Roscommon who are into anime for a while.

    My facebook for anybody who wants to add me is http://www.facebook.com/razzlero

    Hurray for a good amount of responses. :)

    I've been trying to do the same thing Razzlero, expanding the social circle and whatnot. Figured this would be one place to start.

    Could try organise something one of these days to get to know other people.

    a Midlands social club with regular events set in Athlone would go down better :pac:

    Funnily enough I've already done that in Limerick but not in Athlone.

    I founded the University of Limerick Anime and Manga Society. Having said that it's relatively easy to set up a society or club in a university and I knew a good few Anime fans in Limerick already.

    Hmmmm, Athlone doesn't just need an anime society, a Scifi/fantasy society would be good too

    Does AIT have Societies?

    If so I wonder if anyone there is interested in starting a society (Of course I can give loads of information and contacts to help)

    Edit: Yes they do have societies.
    Just putting it out there, if anyone wants to start a society there I can help with advice and what not... though I will only be around at weekends so I probably won't be able to directly help the society. (It's probably too late in teh semester now to properly start the society but you could check interest and get a few of the foundations in place.)
