    Hi guys, I have an assignment on Budgeting to have completed in the next two weeks.
    one of the issues is the objectives of budgeting and i can't find anything of use for it. can anyone help me out?
    Accountancy is my worst subject so it's a real struggle to keep an interest in it as well :confused:

    I'll try to give you a head start without doing your homework for you!:D

    Some objectives of budgeting,

    Planning - makes a business look to the future
    Control - comparing actual results to budget
    Communication - managers know what will be expected of them
    Co-ordination - different parts of the business working towards a common goal
    Evaluation - evaluating managers responsible for budget areas
    Motivation - as a target for managers
    Authorisation - authorising managers to work within their budgets
