I am currently looking at fecning about 25 acres of land, single strand electric fencing. have looked for price from FRS and a local contractor. Waiting for prices back.

has anyone done this kind of work recently and what price per metre would you have been quoted?

    Thanks

I did the same job last year and it was the best investment I ever made. I'll have to check what it cost

depends on what materials you use, cresouted stakes and strainers drive up the cost but I think they are worth it as fence will last longer and labour is the same. Make sure you get a vat reiceipt as you can claim it back on permanent fencing as a capital expense. ballpark cost is around 1.1o a metre for the materials, labour approx 50c a metre
