The Charter (being a mod I would have though that you would have read it :pac: :P)
WAREZ/"WHERE CAN I GET A MOVIE FOR FREE"
Do not ask where you can download or stream a movie. Do not ask where you can get a movie illegally. If you want to see a movie, go to the cinema, buy the DVD, wait for it on TV, see it a friends. Contravene this rule and it's an immediate ban. The same penalty applies to anyone who posts links or otherwise advises users as to where movies can be downloaded or viewed illegally. Essentially, don't ask/don't tell.

i am not looking to download it for free.

i am looking to view it online rather then buying the DVD, as i dont have a dvd player.

Keep an eye on Film4 and the other 4 channels as they've shown it on a number of occasions recently.

Assuming you are in a country that theauteurs has the rights to you can view it at http://www.theauteurs.com/films/664 for €3. It only offers a streaming service, no downloads are allowed.

Edit: As you can see if you go to the link - theauteurs is a legal service with links to distributors such as Eureka and The Criterion Collection.

It was re-made a couple of months ago for HBO with Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange. Got really good reviews, so if you can't find the 1975 one, might be worth looking for this one instead.

Well, the HBO film covered a greater portion of their lives, up to and including their involvement in the Maysles film, but whereas specific scenes from the documentary are duplicated by Barrymore and Lange, I wouldn't go so far as to call it a remake. Unfortunately, the HBO film is only available on Region One DVD at the moment, but the original documentary is available on Region Two with some decent extras. Channel Four showed both the film and the documentary back-to-back a few weeks ago.
