Hey guys , im looking at getting a G36c and was originally decided on the Jg one after hearing positive reviews and so on.

Now however I've seen MIA have that SRC Gen 2 model on their site...

Has anyone used both of these and is the src worth the extra 40 or 50?

I have 200 to spend if anyone is willing to make any other suggestions for a newb gun, I would prefer something H&K though for a bw loadout.
    cheers guys

If you wanna think abit more you can get a G&G m4 for €179 which is a **** hot starter gun,

G36 is nice too. I have one myself but I put a mag adapter in to take my m4 mags from my VFC aeg.

GENIII g36 is available too for €225ish. I beleive Gatling ordered one. Not sure of the difference.

Check out qualityairsoftsupply lads on boards. Their website is under construction but they have really good stuff in stock most of the time,/

I would shy away from SRC as a lot of their parts are slightly out of spec to most other brands out there so it can be a problem when upgrading/repairing etc.

The JG is cheaper and a very good starter gun with great reliability, and you'll have cash to spare for something "tactical2 to bolt on it. :)

The best thing I could suggest is get something with a godd Rail system. I think, one of the best thigns about my M4A1 CQBR is that there is a Ton of rail space to stick Laser, scopes, grenade launchers, grips, everything.

But maybe thats just me. I do like to go over the top

I've heard there are differnent versions or something with the jg g36s. Like version 1,2,3 etc. Do you have any info abou this? thx

You mean like the G36, G36c, G36k, etc?

In airsoft, very little. The only difference is appearance and I would assume the compact G36 would have a shorter barrel.

I think you're on about the gearboxes...as in version 1, 2 & 3 gear boxes rather than the variants of the outer shell. If so, from what I've heard 2 is the easiest to work with.

Well the JG G36 has a V3 gearbox, and as far as I know you wouldn't fit a V2 in it. So that's why I assume he meant the different variants.

Spend the xtra money and get the SRC G36 the difference is huge ,

i have one of the few if not the only Gen 3 SRC G36 at the moment ,

first thing you will notice between the jg and src is the body /reciever the jg has a shiny abs plastic and is pretty light only comes with 1 metal rail

the src is nylon fiber stronger than abs and a hell of a lot heavier is also got a matt finish which is pretty nice alot better than abs

the src also comes with 3 metal rails as standard 470 round mag and battery +charger

they both use version 3 mechboxes the jg comes with nylon bushings in 6mm's pretty standard china made set up

the src comes with 6mm steel bushings and a lot better internals and good shimming

the motors both use high torque motors but the src is a better one great rof on an 8.4 battery easily takes a 9.6 battery nun chuk style

the only non standard part in the G36 from src is there hop up unit ,a silicon rubber and nub should sort things and parts are a lot easier to sort now
trust me go and pick up a Gen 2 G36 from SRC and you seriously wont be disapointed

The JG is 7mm, and usually metal bushings these days too,
Its gears are better than that of the SRC and neither piston are particularly fantastic, and the SRC nozzle and cylinder head are slightly out of spec, meaning you sometimes have to trim and mod them to get them working right with other aftermarket parts. a pain in the face, especially if you aren't the most technical person in the world.

SRC and JG use the same piston
    cylinders
the Jg has a slightly larger piston head and the jg uses a slightly longer air 1-1.5mm nozzle
    differerence

the jg has a slightly better airseal

    jg xyt gears

src steel gears (unbranded ) but look fairly good better than most standard gear sets

    jg has decent range

    src supierior range

fps wise ive to rechrono my jg tomorrow

src .98j out of the box and only seen a 4 fps variance in fps in a 50 round test

C1ancy il put a side by side full review up later today with pics of the src and jg
