Patmac, Did you book the world cup or not? Who else is going? what matches are people taking in - just Irish games and knowckouts or other games? If other games which ones? Has everyone accommodation and transport completely organised? I've booked flights, have Irish pool match tickets and a promise of one of the quarters in Wellington tickets. I've only accom and transport for first week of six booked.

flights and accomodation booked. going to 2 of 4 pool games. Oz and Italy. Mainly due to time constraints.

im taking a camper with the better half and a 5 friends. to be frank about it, if you dont have accomodation booked already there is a slim chance you will find it. Especially in match cities. Auckland is totally sold out for the week preceeding and after the australia game as their supporters just flying over the tasman en masse.

Campers becoming less and less available. we figured its probablly the bestway of going about getting around and having the freedom to do whatever we want and stay wherever we want for 3 weeks as opposed to being stuck in a city for days on end waiting on a game!

Stops: Fox glacier, springs, bungee jump off that building in auckland, parachute jump somewhere to be decided, lord of the rings set (dont ask!!).

as for the rest of it i dont mind!

I had actually booked tickets to all the Ireland pool games but it's just too damn expensive between flights and accommodation/spending money so have since sold them. I don't know how true this is, although I heard it from some Kiwis themselves, that they're trying all sorts of tricks raising prices. This is to be expected to an extent but apparently they're doing things like deliberately not putting on extra public transport so that people will need to take taxis to games!
