Euro account Cheque Clearance?

    Does anyone know how long it will take a Euro cheque issued in Ireland to be cleared when deposited in a Euro account in UK?
    I was thinking three weeks.

    First, make sure that the receiving bank can clear Irish cheques. If its BoI, AIB Halifax or UB it should be much quicker as they have sister banks in the UK, probably in the order of 3-5 days.

    You should be able to get same day wire transfers.

    It depends on the bank. Usually 14 working days so 3 weeks. Thats how long it takes for forgien cheques to clear in ireland anyway.

    Ok, thanks Victor
    I just know that it's a Euro account in the UK, not sure who with.
    Guess I'll play safe and go with the 5 days making sure there's enough in the Irish account to cover it.
