Did anyone see this featured on the irish Dragons Den recently? I've gone onto their website to try buy it but it's sold out.

    Anyone bought and used it?

    Is it any use?

    Its not launched yet.
    Its launching mid June AFAIK

It is launched alright, one of my friends has this in her salon for the last couple of months she ordered it when at a beauty show. She loves it and said it comes out fab on people she's used it on and they've been very happy with it, haven't used it yet though myself

Yes I've used it and love it. It looks great lasts for ages and DOESN"T smell! Its available in most Salons in Sligo, Leitrim and Longford and now coming to health shops nationwide.

I've seen it in all my local chemists this past week so it must of been rolled out nationally lately. Its priced at 29.99 euro everywhere I seen.

I've seen it in a few places in Galway but for 35e. Is there different size bottles or are we just being ripped off?

I have a friend with a mobile beauty service and she uses it.

I saw the results on another friend she sprayed. It was SO good - no smell, no streaks and looked really natural. We were going on a girly hol so she got it done for that (why, I don't know!) but it really lasted well despite the sun and salt water and chlorine.

I would definitely buy it and I am a St. Tropez user normally.

The other thing, and I reckon this applies to most tans is that it seemed to act as a total sun screen. When we came back from the hols and the spray tan wore off, she was white and we were all brown!

Fake tans don't act as sunscreens at all. There is no spf in them. I say it would be very dangerous to go out in the sun just wearing fake tan and no sunscreen.

The consistency of Tan organic seems to be the same as Tantastic, which I love. Its a bit pricey for me at the moment, especially when you can get a spray Tan In Blackrock for 15 quid.

    +1

I don't know of any fake that that contains SPF. In fact on most fake tans it is stated that they don't and warns used to use SPF in the sun.

    Some people just don't tan.

Just to clarify..she did wear normal sunscreen even though she had the spray tan, because we would all be aware that it has no protection from the sun, and usually she gets a lovely colour, but just bainin white this time after her holidays

I got a spray tan of the Tan Organic on Thursday and it's lovely. Not as much of a smell and no patchy bits yet either! Lovely golden colour too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 50 ✭✭eulB_x

I have used a lot of fake tans and I have never experienced a fake tan that is worse at coming off than this one.

It is great when it goes on, the perfect colour but 2 days in, even with moisturising, it starts to become really patchy and looks awful!

Total waste of money unless you just want to wear it for a day or something.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 334 ✭✭Ollchailin

I've never used it, but have heard some bad reviews of it- like as the previous poster said, that it comes off very badly.

I was out with a friend of a friend one night who was wearing it & she hadn't used it before- she thought it was horrible & wouldn't be using it again. Have to say I didn't like it on her either- don't think I'll ever be trying it to be honest!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 828 ✭✭✭Wonkagirl

I dont have that problem with it at all funnily enough.. i do experience that with california tan though, and Sun fx too.. they both wear off really badly. Everyone's skin suits a different tan- so it's all about trial and error i suppose.

Does anyone know of anywhere in Dublin city that is selling this? The website doesn't seem to be up to date with stockists.

Goodness everybody will hate me when I disagree about TanOrganic. (as a spray tan not as a bottle tan)

I got TanOrganic done as a spray tan at the beginning of June and where as it smelt lovely (caramel..the light tan) , I was so disappointed with the results. I get spray tanned every week and found the TanOrganic remained tacky & sticky for the whole evening after application.

Also, by the time it came to my shower the next morning, it hadn't adhered eveningly so I ended up quite patchy so much so that I had to skip tanning the next week to get it all off.

Now the bits that did stick were a nice colour and they did last 9-10 days but at €40.00 a week, I am looking to have a good overall colour that wears off eveningly & saving myself the trouble of having to apply fake tan myself. It's like TanOrganic has to spend a bit more time in the lab perfecting the formula...it's just not evolved enough (me thinks...it's just me that thinks it...I'm not knocking it)

Currently I get Wow Brown Spray Tan and cannot say enough good things about it.

i get mine in meaghers on baggot st, but have seen it loads of places

am sitting here watching BB letting my weekend tan organic dry in!

I only checked my local chemists today and none stocked it. I'm going to town tomorrow. I'll head to Meaghers if I can't find it in the city centre. Cheers :)

we sell it in work and 2 customers have complained about the way the cork just flys out, apperently if you put it in the fridge for an hour first it stops it happening, something to do with it gettin to hot in the warm weather and gas building up

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,390 ✭✭✭Stench Blossoms

Won't ever be using this tan again.

Horrible to apply. Exploded twice ruining my bed covers. Looks uneven and oompa lumpa ish.

Only benefit is it doesn't smell. Which is not much good to me right now since I look like a 2 year old who got a hold of her mothers makeup.

I have to say that I thought it applied well, considering I hadn't done a tan since January I was expecting it to be an ordeal but I found it fine. Came up lovely and wasn't in the least bit patchy coming off. I'll use it again this week for Ladies Day and see how it goes. I think they could just do with slightly better information on the packaging.

Bought Tan organic in local chemist 29.99....no instructions with it which is rare for a tan...same thing happened to me, left in bathroom, cork popped and made bit of a mess of the place. Whilst the packaging may be eco friendly, it's not very convenient for home use. Not the best of tans, it does smell (as do all tans), I have used much better tans with less of an orangey appearance and wears off poorly....

we got a letter last week from the manafacuter saying they were redesigning the bottle but no news on when the new one will be on the shelf, apperently there changing it to a pump bottle

I've seen this tan in chemists but never actually looked at it because I think the packaging is kind of off-putting and reminds me of tan you'd buy in a pound shop or something.

    What consistency is it..cream/gel/liquid/mousse??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,380 ✭✭✭✭leahyl

The best tan i've ever used is top image tan - it's irish made as far as i'm aware and is so easy to put on and it fades pretty well too! Gives you a lovely golden colour:)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2 debbie_doyle

... I have contacted them I am so annoyed spent €30 brought it on hols & got to use it ONCE the packaging is crap - the lid is a cork that pops out & spills EVERYWHERE - they need a screw top lid, I swear girls dont waste your money til they sort out the packaging, open it & it has to be left in the bathroom cabinet, no bringing it away for the w/end it will pop out & ruin all your clothes, when returning home I had to drop the whole €30 in the BIN ;-(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2 debbie_doyle

i SPENT €30 ON THIS USED IT ONCE & HAD TO BIN IT ... WHY??
CRAP PACKAGING I HAVE CONTACTED THEM TO COMPLAIN & CHANGE PACKAGING IT IS SOOOOO STUPID - A CORK THAT POPS OUT REALLY EASY, U CANT BRING IT ANYWHERE OR IT WILL SPILL EVERYWHERE.
OF COURSE I DIDNT KNOW THIS BROUGHT IT ON HOLS OPENED IT & THAT WAS IT .... HOW STUPID STILL CANT BELIEVE THERE SELLING IT WITH PACKAGING LIKE THAT - GET IT OFF THE SHELFS & SORT OUT YOUR PROBLEM ... VERY ANNOYED

I deff agree, I'm usually am a bit snobby with tan and only would go for fake bake or st.tropez, but its amazing, i can actually wear it out while it develops and not be a sweaty betty (maybe it's just me, but fake tan usually makes me very hot and sticky).
I would recommend everyone to try it, I even told my friends to buy it and I'd happily buy it back off them if they don't like it!!

Sorry I sound like I work for them, but it's just my HG of tanning, that and old sally!!

This tan seems almost too good to be true!

Haven't tried it yet but is it dark? And long does it take before starting to wear off? Does it wear off patchy?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 293 ✭✭Shmatter

You can get a really dark colour if you put on second and third layers, but I think one layer is just right. Pretty much what you'd think you'd get from St.Tropez, it gives you a light golden/brown glow like that.

Just sitting here waiting for my tan to dry! bought It for 25.99 ( 5 euro off deal).
Im assuming since the last couple of posts that they have changed the topper, because its now a wooden screw cap kind of thing!

    my review:

-opened the bottle and it smells scruptious!.
-Its realy runny and I ended up spilling it all over my carpet when I tryed to apply it to my tanning mitt!( Its more viscose than water if thats possible!!)
-decided pouring was a stupid idea and dotted it on the mitt instead!:D
-spreads realy nicely and a little goes a lond way as far as I can see,
-dryed super quick but feels slightly tacky( not too bad though! its hackable)not slimmy or sticky like a lotion or gel!
-so far I can get a hint of that smell but I think because it dryed so quick its not lingering on the skin! its not over powering les of a smell than st. tropez and sublime bronze!
-the guide colour is nice aswell! makes my skin look sallow! so its wearable outside if you have to go out! but no immediate change! just a translucent glow!
    - so far if it heats up (if I place my fore-arm on my leg or put get under the covers) it doesnt transfere or start to slide off!9 you know the way if you start to sweat you can feel the tan melt almost.....well theres none of that!)

    pros
smells like a juice in the bottle
nice to spread on the skin
    translucient guide colour
    not too sticky
    wont sweat off once dry

    cons
very very runny( consistancy of water)
does have a slight tan smell( not too vile though)
hard to apply to hands or mitt without spilling everywhere

Ill update tomorro with how it turns out and then again when it starts to fade!

hope this helps someone eles who is indecisive weather to buy it of not!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12 Lb100

ok so the tan came up!.......On my skin (pale) it looked very orangy!

The colour I can compare with it is that of the 2 euro tan wipes you can buy in pennys!

Its still smells and even after washing my hands it stained my nails and cuticles!

too dark,But came up even apart from around my fingers! might be nice on more olive toned skin! but on pink tones the combination of the tan and unerlying skin colour makes the tan look orange!

over all the tan is not the best but not the worst! I certainly would not shell out 25 euros for it! when there are beter tans out there!

will be giving this tan to some one eles but i dont think i will ever use it again!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 206 ✭✭Beffy

Yes I did find this in a chemist a few weeks ago. When I applied it I had the end of a fake bake tan on, exfoliated/moisturised etc. It came up really patchy and orange. I'll give it another go when i've no other tan on.

I went to buy this tan the other day and when I saw the state of the display in Sam McCauley's I changed my mind. All the bottles were splattered with tan as it had obviously spilled all over the display. It wasn't at all appealing to be honest and at €30 I would expect good packaging and also to be able to store it safely without having to worry about it exploding all over my bathroom. Good thread, quite informative.
