Damn NCT..

    My car (peugeot 206) has failed the NCT.........


    Can anyone tell me if a Front suspension ball joint for both sides are expensive to fix... Also Steering linkage track rod ends....

    You should have titled the post ..... Thank you NCT.

    Balljoints are safety critical items & when worn, your wheel could just collapse under you, usually when you need it most.
    Trackrod ends will improve steering, tyre wear etc.

    Rough guess, balljoints might be 30 to 40 each plus labour to fit.
    Trackrods would be cheaper.
    The labour shouldnt be huge.
    Be sure to get a wheel alignment done after.

    Ya it was about €60 including labour to do the left ball joint on my civic :D

    They are about €18 each from micksgarage.ie

    Front suspension was the most common nct fail item for cars in 2009
