Right so for the next week i want to get the 41x in the mornings from swords. The bus stops map on db has no info re stops near swords manor / applewood.

Could anyone be able to tell me which bus stops at start of the route does it stop at ? Like does it stop all of the first few stops, near swords manor, valley view, glen ellen, or does it just pass them?

    Hi booya!

Having been a regular passenger on the 41x for years hears the stops as follows:

    41X Swords Manor- Belfield
    1. It operates all stops to as far as the Castle Shopping Centre,
    2. Then it turns left at the county council offices
    3. Goes down north street.
    4. It stops at the Swords Cycles, not to sure bout the stop further down near Rocks Funeral home.
    5. It continues down to the "fingallians roundabout" where it takes the 3rd exit to the right
    6. Heads straight up the N1 towards Seatown where there is a stop (near seatown road, not entirely sure of the exact location).
    7. Next stop is supposed to be just up from O'scannails vetenary hospital however some drivers go left at the Little Chef up by Frank Mc Gowans Furniture place and head straight for the M1 that way.
41X- Swords Manor- Belfield via Applewood
    1. Follows the route of the 41C but instead of turning right to go up North Street, it continues straight for the Fingallians Roundabout and proceeds same as points 5-7.
Hope that is of some help to you. If you need anything else just let me know.

    Richard

no worries at all. However I would recommend going to the stop outside JCs as the the buses esp the 7.25 tend to fill up quite quickly!

I imagine about 30 minutes. Depends on what traffic is like from East to SSG. Sorry, I thought it was using the port tunnel, it doesn't.

The 7.25 service should get you into St. Stephens Green for about 8.20/8.25 all going well. It uses the Port Tunnel also.

    Victor,

All 41X services use the the Port Tunnel in the Mornings. It doesnt use it in the evening due to it being in conflict with Swords Express.

What's the traffic usually like commuting to/from Swords to the City Centre? :o

On the 41x in the mornings : Takes roughly 45 minutes on 41x.
During day: 41/41b/41c - Each take roughly an hour. 43 takes about 45 mins.
    At night: 41/41b/41c - About 45 mins. 43 takes about 30 minutes.

It really depends on general traffic of the day..

I am travelling to Belfield next week and live in Donabate and considering using 41X bus route. Not sure how reliable 33B bus is from Donabate to Swords and was wondering if I was to drive to Swords is everywhere is pay & display parking? Thanks.

    howdy,

My best advice would be to get the 33D from Donabate at 7.30 which will drop you to St.Stephens Green. (this service uses the Prot Tunnel)

    Link here: http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Your-Journey1/Timetables/All-Timetables/33d/

Then get either a 10 from Merrion Row, 46A/11B from Leeson Street. These will bring you close to Belfield, or you get anyone of the express services from Lesson Street, such as the 39X/39B/41X, there are counltess other they just are not coming to mind.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi there,

Thanks for those details, really appreciate it. Looks like I've plenty of options once I get to city centre. I wasn't even aware that a bus went from Donabate via port tunnel so that's really helpful.

    Thanks again.

Surely getting a train makes more sense? Lots of buses from Sydney Parade to UCD or alternatively its within walking distance.

If you do get the 41x, change at Kildare street for the most options to get to Belfield. Route 10 is best, then the 11b and 46a.

Doesn't the 41X terminate in Belfield?

The 33D is in town usually around 0810/0815, which would give the train a good run for its money.
