    I know. Does me nut in. Another one is "and lets be clear about this". I think all the rats are guilty of that. They must have a public speaking coach or something. Probably a non-english speaker who had a few of these awful, degenerative, weak phrases seared into their brain.

    I'm unsure why this was started in Political Theory but either way it's not really going anywhere. I suggest the Ranting & Raving forum as a possible alternative.
