Any word on a schudule for it? I've been looking around and havent found anything. Can't wait for it, starting in Dundalk and being based in Newry so I'd say I'll be at a fair bit of it!

The proper fully dark night stage i think is only being run for the national cars (check the circuit of ireland website for entry) and is using 2 stages that were used earlier in the day joined together to form one 18 mile stage, the stage location (roughly) is running south of banbridge, if you go to loughbrickland (between banbridge and newry A1) and take the B3 road south towards rathfriland if you take any road to the left or the right off the B3 it will bring you into the stage,, the stage starts on banbridge side of B3 and crosses over the B3 a few miles from rathriland and heads up towards L'brickland again....cant do any more for you than that:p...oohh except maybe that the first car due is 21.19 on saturday evening.

P.S. there is a stage starting at 20.18 that all the cars are doing although it prob wont be fully dark it would still be good to watch, if you turn left off the A27 between jerrettspass and a few miles before poyntz pass you will catch it.

Edit just found this too would nearly be worth going to the cerimonial start in dundalk just to see this.....

Thanking the assembled guests Rally Director, Bobby Willis also confirmed that the 2010 Dakar winning VW Race Touareg will play a pivotal role during the Easter Rally as it makes its first appearance in Great Britain and Ireland since its stunning victory earlier this year.

    Hello,

It’s Des O’Loan here and I’m contacting you about helping out on this year’s Circuit of Ireland Rally.

I have agreed to join the Circuit of Ireland management team to take control of manpower for the event and it’s in this capacity I am asking for your help. All our rallies need marshals, without them we don’t have a sport. We also need dedicated people in the background to undertake dozens of vital tasks. Most of these people are unpaid volunteers who give large amounts of their spare time so our sport can survive and prosper.

I require over 500 marshals and officials on this year’s UTV Drive*Circuit of Ireland Rally which is running over the Easter weekend. You may be aware that the Rally has had a major revamp with a new management team and a new event Director, Bobby Willis, taking control of the event. Bobby has enlisted the help of some very talented people to ensure the event is a success including Gordon Noble as the Clerk of the Course.

I urgently require marshals for Saturday and Sunday and I am appealing for your help on one or both days. Please don’t just delete this request for help and assume ‘someone’ else will do it. The Circuit of Ireland needs your help; it’s one of our premier events so please join me in making the 2010*UTV Drive*Circuit of Ireland an event we can all be proud of.

Please reply with your name, contact phone number and day(s) you can help or call me on 0044 78 9298 4021

    Des O’Loan
    Circuit of Ireland 2010

Email from event coordinators today looking for marshals, if you're going & available to help out contact Des O'Loan above.
