I ruined night out

Had night out with wife and her brother and his wife. Then we went to a concert. One of the drinks my wife ordered was a vodka and red bull. Sometimes my wife wets the bed when she is drunk. There is a correlation between red bull and bed wetting.

I called her 'Pissthebed' when I saw the Red Bull.

Now I am sleeping in the spare room.

She wet the bed last night.

Perhaps not the kindest comment to make, especially in company. Its something for a morning after "Weren't you drinking XYZ the last time also?".

I take it that the spare room is because you are in the bad books, not out of a desire to keep dry.

She wets the bed when she drinks RedBull, yet still continues to drink it?

Anyway, were there others present when you said it? If so, nasty on your part.

If not, whats her problem.....she needs to face reality....if she does wet the bed when she drinks redbull, she needs to ctop drinking it. Simple as that.

A bit gauche of you in front of others but wetting the bed is more a" i have drank too much to be able to get out of bed or be aware that im urinating"

So while red bull may be a diuretic the active ingredient may be vodka and maybe she gets tanked before you go out.

Your wife is an adult and wetting the bed is not normal -if she is not a secret drinker has she spoken to her doctor on this.

Red bull is the least likely culprit.its the booze fella.

Just a thought.

Regardless of other suggested causes such as a drinking problem etc, how would you feel if your wife announced that to YOUR friends on a night out? A 'funny' comment has probably mortified and upset her. And if she does have a drinking problem, or some other underlying problem, would it not be more prudent to make sure she gets checked medically than humiliate her in public?

Major apologies should be made to her, and perhaps a more concerned chat about the cause of the bed wetting.

If my OH wet the bed regularly after drinking he would be in the spare room, not me.

And then if it continued one or other of us would be out the front door.

That's appalling behaviour.

How can you let it go on?
