With F1 and GT5 not out till later this year i need a racing game to keep me going till then. What's the best one out at the moment? Id prefer circuit racing over rally too if that makes a difference.

I'd recommend Grid, great game and you could find it cheap nowadays

Supercar challenge is the best racer ive played its better than Forza or GT and keeps getting over looked can be picked up quite cheap too.

Grid is good but i tiny bit arcadey (not much) compared to supercar.

i got need for speed undercover in xtra vision for a tenner, u cant go wrong for a price like that. its not a bad game. also there are other things like midnight club LA which i think is platinum, its a good game i think, not sure if you are into games with storylines or whatever or just pure racing but im sure you could get it cheap as chips

WipEout HD. If you haven't played it already it's class, turn the speed up full whack it gets pretty intense. Looks amazing on a HDTV too.

Plus only 25 quid brand new.

Imo the need for speed series has gone down hill since they started making them on the next gen consoles

I fully agree but shift for me was a quality game. It was a big change and I loved it

A fun game alright, but not a track racing game. It wouldn't be something to go for if you're looking for a bit of realism.

Need for Speed Shift is an ok game, but rent it before buying it. I bought it like 2 days after it's release but traded in 2 weeks later as I just thought it got a bit boring.

Grid on the other hand is a great racing game and you can pick it up for like €10 pre-owned.

Wipeout HD is a cool game too. I always find myslef coming back to it for a while when I get bored of other games:cool:

Maybe something like Pure or Colin McRae? GT5 will be pretty special though. Cant wait for it.

Forza 3 is the only good driving game this gen so far imo

Driving has made me better at driving games :p Hitting the apex properly and changing gear at the right time. Left foot braking is something I've gotten used to aswell, even if my passengers we're getting whiplash in the beginning :pac:
