100 euro on Arthur Abraham to win by ko/tko returns 262
60 euro on Direll returns 162

You can't lose unless it's a draw or Abraham wins on points, which is highly unlikely.

Well a shocking end to the fight last night. I don't think there was any real malicious intent in Abraham, just reacting fast and making a mistake. I do hope that Dirrell is ok as it was a vicious knockout and he looked in very bad shape and didn't really know where he was afterwards.

Disgusting. people wonder why pro boxing can get a bad name.

He was taking a beating off the underdog and couldnt handle it, so he took a dirty cheap shot at the guy when he was defenceless. I thought boxers had a mutual respect for each other? He easily could have killed him or left him in a bad bad way.

Dunno what pro boxing disciplinary procedures are but i hope for the sports sake they throw the book at him

that was a risk of 160 euro !!!
crazy bet if you ask me .

    1. you are already guaranteed to lose some if not all your money

    2. You have payed the bookie his "edge" twice

    3. you didnt seek out the top prices ( 11/5 - Dirrell + 7/4 AA by KO)

    4. Totally disregarded the unlikely but possible scenarios , of lets say :
    (a) accidental headbutt stopping the fight bringing an early points decision
    (b) a draw - always comes up when least expected
    (c) a No-Contest
    (d) AA wins on points - who knows much about Dirrells chin ?
    (e) Disq resulting in AA victory ! only some bookies cover this under the "victory by KO" rule

anyway , you are 2 euro up ! but one night you'll lose all your money against a very small reward !

Will we do a small boxing betting thread devoted to next weekends boxing ?

That was a damn risky bet! Anyway, I had 25 on Dirrell @ 2/1 so I'm happy out:)

Yep , I did a bit of buying and selling on betfair , and managed to "green up" all my bets ......apart from one !

I got stuck with "Dirrell win by Ko/TKO or Disq" - 5 quid @ 16/1

I couldnt get anybody to take this bet off my hands
