    Hi to all member,

    Well i am non EU, I am living in woodlawn grove in a house. I share the house with 1 english, 1 irish, 1 polish n me Indian.

    Problem here is

    I have the electricity bill on my name. i am only person in the house now. all other left the house without giving notice to the owner. No one shared the electricity bills .......saying that i have left the deposit with the own. I dont want to pay any bills to you.

    I called to owner and discuss i am loosing 250 euro regarding electricity,

    owner saying i have empty room from last 2 months. The same scenario continued to other person now.

    Wht to do?:confused:

    Not much can be done im afraid. If you pay the bills by anything other than direct debit, then you would of had to have paid a deposit at the start when it was put into your name, your flatmates should of paid their part of it. You might be able to use this to pay the bill. However with direct debit theres no deposit required.

    You could tell your landlord that they have left you with a huge bill, and the money be deducted from the deposit they paid when you moved in, but if they moved out ages ago, then he will use this as rent.

    Only thing i can say is never have a bill in your name unless you know the people you live with.
