    From RTE:

    "
The chairman of the public sector unions committee has said he is confident 'if the will is there' that an agreement on public sector pay will be possible at the end of a final phase of negotiations which began today.

Peter McCloone said 'at the end of it we will either have a successful outcome or the talks will have broken down'.

Brilliant statement my man, what other outcome is possible in the final phase of any negotiations?

The talks are being held in confidence so I think there is an understanding that any communications with the media are purposely vague.especially given the media's role last time around
