    OK..

    Once we have paid the council the "County Development Charge", how son can we start working on the build?

    Generally, you can submit the Commencement Notice giving two weeks notice of your intention to start construction at the same time as paying the contribution, or in some cases you can submit the Commencement Notice and the council will write out and demand payment thereafter.

    Note: You can do the site clearence before the commencement date.

    submit the commencement notice, after that they will rimind you to pay the rest, keep the reciets, needed for when the build closes off,

    The county council have been strict on this one, before we can start, we have to supply the council with 1:50 scale drawings of the proposed new entrance way onto the public road, then the council will give us written permission to start...

    oh, and hand over the development charge ;-)

    Its typical enough to have some compliance items such as you mention listed in conditions. You must submit those details & have them confirmed before starting work. You then submit ommencement notice. They will bill you in due course for the contributions. Thats how it works with councils Ive dealt with anyway
