PS3 & Wireless Network Connection

Hey guys, just looking for some advice. I am currently trying to setup my PS3 to connect to my home wireless network. Basically, the signal strength is only between 25%-30%. The PS3 is actually picking up the connection every time (weak and all as it is) yet I cannot actually seem to connect to the network. I keep getting a time out error message being returned.

I am just wondering if this is because the signal is so low? I am thinking of buying an access point to increase the signal strength, but if there is something else that's wrong which is preventing me from connecting I may as well tackle that issue first . . .

I am positive the WPA code I am entering is correct.

Thanks in advance for the advice!
