    Hi all,

A friend of mine works as a cleaner in a school. Roughly 15 -17 hours a week. When the school is off on holidays ( summer, mid-term etc ) she is also off and during that period she gets paid by the welfare.

Now my question is, can she apply for time off that is not part of the schools normal holidays. The reason I ask is because seemingly she has been told that she wont get paid for any personal holiday taken by the school or by the welfare.

Yes she can, no matter how casual your employment is you are always entitled to paid holidays.
