Piano Pieces That You'd Recommend?

    Hi everybody.

I'd really appreciate it if all of you could recommend some songs for me to learn on piano to exercise my fingers & get me used to jumping between notes etc...

I'll give you an idea of what I'm looking for.

I am able to play something like Mozart's Turkish March - Eine kleine nachtmusik - (something I'm very proud of lol) although not at amazing speeds nor doing all the crazy expressions I've heard some pianists do. I do tend to vary in timing & that's simply because my fingers aren't used to the board etc...

I can pretty much tab out by ear most pieces so it's not really learning the songs, it's just the mechanical fret work.

Melodic songs are most welcome! Stuff along the lines of Mozart Sonata K545, Beethovens "Virus" piece, Sonatina in G Major and Brahms Hungarian Dance (although I obviously can't play piano that difficult!).

Buy one of Denes Agay's 'Classics to Moderns' books. They're really good...have only used the beginner ones for students, but in books 4, 5 and 6 there's really good music (and in original versions, not simplified)...

Haydn's Sonatas give great pleasure and are of different difficulty. 2 vols. Also you might look at Debussy "Dr Gradus and Parnassum" which will give you a heart attack when you see the score () but is surprisingly easy to play and will dazzle your audience! (:) )

Wow that piece is a bit out of my league at the moment.

I've just seen a 5 year old girl on youtube school me big time

I'll give it a whirl anyway to see, it does seem like the speed of this 5 year old girl is whats scaring me :o.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll efinitely check out some of Haydn's sonatas.
