Saw it in the leaflet in store alright looks good. 1080p 3 HDMI slots (from what i remember) I don't know much about TV's so maybe someone else will be able to point out its flaws but for that price it sounds like a bargain.

Yea its on their weekly Special Buys brochure for next Sunday & Thur 1st April. From a quick squint at bot website it seems to be a rather basic model. Will have to research a bit more.

    BOOM

No mention of what type of DVB-T tuner it is though, so it's prob only Mpeg2

    Still a good price though

Good deal, no doubt. However, I was more interested in the discrepancy between their printed flyers (does appear) and the web-page (no sign of it).

Thanks for the link. Aldi UK site says it includes freeview. So almost certainly only mpeg 2 here. Which is a pity and I suppose a steal.

The has a Freeview digital tuner, which might NOT work with Irish DTT, there is no mention of an analogue tuner, so it might get be able to get any broadcast TV.

If you want to connect it to a Sky/NTL/FreeSat box, then this is not a problem.

I think it will not be available in Ireland before Sunday, 4. May. They had a big red banner printed over one of the posters in the Tralee store yesterday saying "Promotion delayed".

Maybe they have pulled it as not suitable for Irish DTT. The manual is here. It seems to support VHF and UHF Analogue as well as DTT which may well be only mpeg2. Picture quality would be the biggest unknown for me.

Correction: I meant april, not may. Maybe they will sell it next sunday.

Think these Medion TVs are the same as Bush.

The aul fella bought a Medion and I was in Argos the other day and noticed a Bush in there had exactly the same menu screen.
