Job Seekers Benefit is up, now what?

I was made redundant in January last year and set up my own business straight away. For the last 15 months, I've been getting JSB on the back of filling out the self-employed X and O form every week...i.e. working and non-working days.

Typically I was working between 1 and 3 days a week, now my 313 or so claimable days is coming to an end. With the summer coming, it would make more sense for me to combine these working days into one working week per month.

What must I do next, is the means test the only thing for me or is there a separate scheme for the self-employed to continue getting reduced benefit? My pre-redundancy savings added to the redundancy itself would go against me in a means test although the accountant's marginal profit for last year would be in my favour.

So is being jealous of those that can spell properly.

I made a pre-tax paper profit of 5 grand last year, which is around €100 per week. I don't think it's greedy to look for something from the same state that I gave 10 years of taxes to. There's enough scroungers around that have never worked a day in their lives and they can get money
