Hire of Quad & Spreader

    Guys,

Does anyone know if its possible to hire a quad and a spreader for a couple of days. I'm based in south Limerick.

My situation is we reseeded two paddocks in late september however there are significant areas of the paddocks which are completley burnt and the grass seed has failed. I think if must have been water lodging in these areas which froze in the hard winter as its only the valleys in the paddocks are affected and on the tops of the slight ridges in the fields the grass has taken and is growing fine.

I need to reseed the low areas however the paddocks are hardly fit to take the tractor and we'd do more damage than good facing into the paddocks with any kind of heavy gear. We need the paddocks back in rotation as quickly as possible and I was thinking a quad with a spreader on the back would get the seeds out without damaging the ground however I don't know if anyone hires out this kind of gear. Have looked on the net this morning but to know avail.

    Any suggestions?

A fiddle sower and Shank's mare is the way to go if the ground is that soft
