jailbreakin etc........ confusion

    I drop in hear for a nose about quite often and see jailbreak terms but havent the foggiest why would i do it, why not, what are the pluses or minuses in simple mans terms......not a tecnophobe but without simple jargon or a link to same cant say I'd try it.......

    So am I missing out or is it a case of the less I know the better,
    sound.
