Apologies if this has been done to death..

Looking for a good jacket. It won't be used for cycling only. Mainly for Adv racing, but also for road, mtb and a bit of running. I have decided to go for a cycling jacket cos of the rear pocket and also they seem to have the best venting/weight.

I want something that is very lightweight and packs pretty small. Preferably waterproof and windproof. i dont mind spending a few quid on it cos it is goin to be used specifically for racing and hopefully is gonna see a lot of use!

so whats the weapon of choice??!!

I have one of these and it is excellent, completely waterproof yet breathable. No back pocket though that improves packability.

Pockets in lightweight foldable jackets are hard to come by.

I have a Gore Oxygen jacket for when it's chucking it down. It's light and dry but pocketless and has a rain flap for the arse which will be a bit odd off the bike.

I have one in orange. Excellent. Pricey, but I got it on sale last year.
They have a small zip pocket, but that is all.

Also the Gilet's are on sale (Clearance Section) and do have pockets.

I have a jacket for sale that would seem to tick all the boxes. Not sure if it's "waterproof" but certainly showerproof.

I would also consider selling one of my dhb eVent ones... I have two as the first one although an excellent jacket was a bit too big/baggy for my liking. The one I would be selling is a red one in medium, I replaced it with a small soon after buying and have been wearing that since. Light use, perfect condition. I'd be looking for €75.

Exact same reason I'm selling mine

    I'm in the same boat.
Was looking at this jacket last night Altura Pocket Rocket
Not too bad a fit (xl for me), not too baggy, and hi-vis for commute.
Also handy as packs up really small, useful for adventure racing!
Felt more waterproof than the equivalent running type jackets.
