    Hi all,

Have a problem with iPhone screen - basically not responding to any touch gestures. So trying to do a restore - but iTunes won't pick up the phone because the pass code is enabled!!

    Anybody know another way???

    Keith.

Does the same happen after reboot?

Stick it into Recovery Mode mode...

    1) Connect iPhone to computer and open iTunes (clear any popup boxes)
    2) Hold the Sleep Button and Home Button at the same time to hard reboot.
    3) As soon as the screen goes black release the sleep button but keep holding the home button until the Connect to iTunes message appears.

iTunes will then allow you to restore, or should.

    If not come back :)

Yep a bit more digging, Justin and I found exactly as you said below - DFU mode

Now have a problem - that screen freezes intermittantly, then freeze altogether. Do a restore and fine for a few days and then randomly happens again.

Also have done a restore as new phone (thinking a corrupt backup file was the problem) - but same result.

Hopefully just a hardware problem (replacement on the way Monday), but wouldn't be 100%.

Hopefull it's not some obscure software issue, related to an app or something
