Useful Firefox Extension - InvisibleHand

Saw this on Digg yesterday. It's a Firefox extension that checks for lower prices for you on whatever product you are viewing.

Just install it from here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/11377 and then if you view a product on a website like Amazon a notification will appear at the top of the page with the cheapest price.

Thats a cool addon but it brings my netbook to its knees when browsing a few tabs in Amazon.

Tried to use it just now. Browsed loads of products but no notification came up.

Do I have to do something when I go to a product page to get the cheapest price?

Sorry Vonluck don't know why it's not working. I thought it wasn't working when i installed it first but it can take a few seconds to appear. What websites are you trying it on? Can you open a game or something on Amazon and leave it for a few seconds, if it doesn't appear is the arrow in the bottom right hand corner of Firefox green or grayed out?

dooferoaks I took that list from this page, http://www.getinvisiblehand.com/retailers they say it works on play.com but they also say that the extension is still in beta so it might be having issues. I tried it on just there and it's not working on play.com for me either.

Doesn't work on Play.com for me either, it just says InvisibleHand has no information about this page.

Oh, and the arrow in the bottom right hand corner of Firefox is grayed out.

But it works on all other sites that I've tried.

ive tried it on play, amazon and thehut so far and no luck on any of them the icon stays grayed out

It works now.

I was trying it on play.com and nothing came up so I presumed it wasn't working!

I use the latest firefox and the whole system slowed down. I followed the helpdesk tips and disabled all my add ons. Slowly I put them back on and it appears it was invisible hand that was fecking up my system.

I had to disable it.

I've not had one problem with it. Do you run adblock plus at all with firefox? Not too sure but all those adds might be making invisiblehand slow your computer down. Sure try adblock plus,if it doesn't solve your problem, you've got yourself a musthave addon for firefox anyway.
