85Mbps Powerline Adapter Twin Pack £29.99inc. vat - PRICE ENDS TODAY

I have tried and tested these & found them to work exceptionally well & this is backed by all the positive customer reviews listed on their site.

They use the Intellon\Atheros INT5500 Chipset which is normally used in many of the better known brands costing anywhere between €80 - €90 in the bricks & mortar stores.

I buy from these on a regular basis & found from the outset that if living in Ireland the only way to purchase from them without any hassle is through Google Checkout. I normally just use 1234 or ire123 as the post code.

Just ordered one myself. In case anyone is wondering delivery to Ireland (it gets added automatically using google checkout) is £9.99.

Couldn't help myself, seems good value and the reviews are excellent. Perfect for media player / freesat / anything else near the tv and nowhere near the router!

    Thanks gadgetman496

This is a good price, even with the shipping - paid GBP50 for a pair on amazon a few months ago (different make)

Can you use one primary unit (the one plugged into the router) with 2 or more receiving units? I only see a single networking port on each unit but I have three devices downstairs that need net connections.

I'd appreciate any reply or thoughts folks!

Hope this isn't a dumb question but does anyone know if these can be plugged into a plug extension? I don't have enough wall sockets in the room I'd want to use this in.

    Thanks

Absolutely, no problem at all. You can use 10 sets if you like

In fact they even work with different makes of home plug provided they are all the same speed.

A number of reviews on the site mention plugging them into extensions, so I'd say yes.

You could use an ethernet switch on one end to share the connection.

Or, if some of the devices are wireless-enabled, one of these (mine's sold :)) — has an ethernet connection as well as the wireless transmitter.

I am buying a new tv next week, it has net tv however the tv will be along way away from wireless router. Woud this product solve my problem. If so, how would I go about connecting my tv to it. Will it have any impact on any of ther wireless deviice in the hose, wii, ps3, dsi. psp?

Distance with this product is not an issue & provided the connection on the TV is right it will solve your problem. At worst I'd imagine you might have to get an adapter if the TV connection is different.

This Homeplug will have no adverse effect on your existing home wireless.

Thanks, do you know what the connection type is? I think the tv has a ethernet connection point?

The connection for the Homeplug is indeed an RJ45 standard Ethernet connection & the powerline posted does come supplied with two 1.8 meter cables.

I'm laughing here as it looks like I'm promoting this product LOL!.

I'm not, but it's still a damn fine product with a damn fine price IMO.

Good luck with it & I hope that works for you.

As I posted HERE: I have never had an issue with them using Google Checkout.

I can only speak from my own experience & consider myself to be a fairly high user of them and I have never had an issue.

just to let you know, I got an emailf from ebuyer rejecting my order when I ordered direct from them as they state that credit card must be from the UK. I have now tried through Google checkout and that seems to have worked, thanks gadgetman, again!

Just to point out that there are other makes out there on Amazon from £36 incl postage (+extra irish VAT)

There are also higher spec models available.

Also be aware that the 85Mbps is theoretical maximum and in reality you will get a lot less, but still unlikely to be a problem unless you are on 24Mbps+

There is a 500Mpbs due out in the Summer. The chips were released a couple of months ago.

The price is still €29.99 on eBuyer so the price didn't end that day.

These arrived yesterday - plugged them in and they worked straight away - nice solid 48Mb connection reported between them.
Speedtest.net through them gave a solid 10mb/s download and 2mb/s upload, and pingtest.net report connectivity as good (much improved over the wireless I had before).
Checked them this morning having left them plugged in overnight and only slightly warm.

If the extension is wired back to the houses main fuse board then it will not be an issue.

This technology has no distance limitations provided the sockets are on the same ring.

Just plug & play will work fine.

The included software CD is only required if you feel the need to add encryption.
