Passport Requirements for Belgium

    Hi all,

    I am travelling to Brussels in September and was wondering what the passport requirements are like? I have read different things on different websites. Some say your pasport must be valid for three months after your visit, others say that this is not the case. Just wondering if anybody could help me out. My girlfriends passport expires two months after we travel and with all the trouble in the passport offices we don't want to be applying for a new one until after we get back.

    For all travel in the EU, you need id which is valid during the duration of your stay.

    What is her nationality? From where are you travelling from?

    If she is Irish and as long as the passport expiry is dated after your return to Ireland she will be fine.

    Thanks for the replies, I emailed the Belgian embassy and they confirmed this for me.
