What type of bird is this?

    Hi guys

    Was down in St Annes park taking some photos today and saw this bird, the one in the back of the picture behind the ducks.
    http://pix.ie/niamh86/1581823/in/album/372296 its not a great photo.

    Just curious about what kind of bird it is, it didnt move the whole time i was there, around 45minutes and it was the only one there.

    A Heron and two Mallards. Herons stand motionless until a fish/eel etc pass close by then it's curtains for the unwary creature. Nice pic. :)

    At first i thought it was fake cause it was so still & cause there was only one of them around.

    Ill have to get down there more often & see if i can see it in action. :)

    Marvelous birds are the herons :)! I can watch them for hours.
