I sent my Statement of Earnings (didn't get a P60!), to Revenue and according to PAYE Anytime they received it, plus the request for refund/balancing statement form, on March 9th. The status just says "assigned".

I had two employers last year; one for a fulltime job up until September and another for casual work from September to December. It still says "not on file" for the details of earnings with the second employer, even though they have now received the info from me.

Should I bother trying to ring them or just wait until someone finally gets around to it?

(I'm really p*ssed off with the Civil Service go slow. I was also a government employee but instead of having reduced wages I lost my job entirely, thanks to staff cutbacks, and now my fellow public servants are delaying the one bit of cash that might keep me afloat! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr .....)

The second employee may not have filled a P35 yet which is why details may not be on file.

As for the refund, it is really hard to call these days. I know people that have has them back within two weeks and other waiting a month or so. No harm in giving a call to chase it up.

I applied on line using the PAYE Anytime.
I sent in a form for my sister. Definitely didnt take 2 months for it to come back.
They seems to be back answering the phones so would try that.

I sent my Tax Return for 2009 in by post on the 8th March, rang this morning to see what the position was on my balancing statement and was told my form was received on the 11th March and they were dealing with a six or seven week backlog and it would be another seven to ten days before my form was dealt with.

Work completed on ROS is always dealt with much much faster than documents sent in by post.
