The end of the Sky monopoly tonight. 4HD begins test transmissions on Freeview HD tonight, LCN 52. It will be interesting to see which type of service is broadcast from the Welsh transmitters, especially as B-P is already enabled. I will give the indicative dates for the others tomorrow.

Well the only information we can glean is from a S4C press release issued a few months ago:

From April, S4C will broadcast a High Definition S4C Digidol television service on Freeview in Wales simultaneously with its current standard defintion service.

It will provide pictures with up to four times more detail than viewers are used to seeing on current services.

S4C are looking to increase the amount of national assembly coverage on it's main channel. Which means there will be even less time for any C4HD programmes. S4C digital broadcasts from 7am until around midnight each day anyway.
