what the longest you've gone without spending money?

when im in work i could go for days without spending any money..get fed in work and the only thing id realy buy is a daily newspaper ( im a bit of a news junkie )...but if i don't buy a paper i don't spend any money and i have gone days with out spending any money

just thought of something im always giving my teenage daughter money dose that count as spending money?

i do the shopping once a week including wine and beer..i buy extra milk and bread and freeze it ...i cook double amounts of dinners from time to time and then freeze them...i fill the car with petrol 3time a month...i spend a lot of my spare time with my partner and we walk,chat, cook and watch DVDs.... we occasionally go to the cinema and once a month or so we have a day out go for lunch or dinner and do something interesting...and that about it ...i don't like shopping..but strangely i like wandering around shopping centers and going for a coffee when i DONT have to shop...i like people watching!

when I was in the 13 - 16 age bracket I hardly ever spent money TBH . once I hit leaving cert and discovered the joys of going out, cigarettes and beer it sort of went downhill after that...

I end up buying something everyday without fail, I always need a bottle of water, coffee or something to read no matter what else happens. I did go about two weeks in college once though when I was really broke and studying all day!

Is it dark and cold there?
How do you get to work ?
Do you own a car?
Do you have car insurance?
Do you have health insurance ?
Do you have credit cards?
If so ....are they paid off ?

I dont how you guys get away with out spending anything for a couple of days... I wish I could... no matter what else I do I get the tram to and from work ($) buy a coffee in the morning ($), and buy smokes most days... ($)

Saying that the longest ive gone for is about 4 days I think, when I use to go home from work to grab lunch and I believe I was in possession of duty free ciggys at the time, it feels wierd gong a few days without spending, I wish I could do it more!

If I get a few days I'm proud of myself. I'd say about 3 or 4 days with out handing over any cash for anything.

If I do manage to get that far though I'll spend loads afterwards, kind of defeats the purpose of it I guess
