My personal opinion is to stay away from Dell. My sister has had nothing but problems with the last laptop she bought from them. I have a Toshiba Satelite and would highly recommend one. Well built, good spec laptops.

Something like this would be sweet imo

Edit: or this for a few extra bucks

I have been using Dell for the past 12yrs and i have never had any problems and i find they are easy to get parts for after they get old and if requiring any upgrading etc.

I am now in market too for a new one and was just thinking will i ever get away from Dell? Just looking here on the Argos catalogue does anyone have any opinions on MSI? I recently used one and i loved the feel of the keyboard nice and soft, or anyone with any knowledge of Medion supposed to be German quality?

It appears the calibre of the dell's have dropped lately. Only noticed it myself by word of mouth, I don't have any stats or anything. HP / Compaq are reasonable. Acer generally pretty good. I'm in the market myself but there are a few things I am looking for that go beyond the basic ram / HD / processor spec. I want a HDMI out, volume control buttons and decent speakers. Been looking for a few days yet and haven't really been happy to settle for one yet.
