Gift given to a friend?

I have a man with a quite good female friend. She’s into collecting ornaments and general knickknacks. She has a glass cabinet in her front room to house all her ornaments. While on holiday a few months ago I got her an ornament from the country I visited. But she has not placed the ornament in her cabinet but on her bed side locker. I’ve not asked her but was wondering does anyone have an idea why she has not put my gift with the rest of her ornaments. I’ve not been in her bedroom but see it when I’ve been in her house and gone by her bedroom door.

The subtext being, "does my female friend fancy me because she put my gift beside her bed?" Do you want her to fancy you? Do you fancy her?:D

In answer to your question, she has put your gift beside her bed because she likes it very much.

She's put the gift where she wants the OP, you mean? ;):p

I suspect that's what the OP is really wondering here.......:D

Aside from anything else (calm down ladies ) it does mean she's treating the item differently than the other knick nacks. Why? Probably as much to do with the fact that you brought it for her from a foreign country. Not to be placed in the same cabinet as the trinkets she bought in town on any given Caturday.

is it a fertility ornament by any chance?

Erm it's a funny personal issue to be honest. We don't know anything about you, her, your relationship.. and even if we did I doubt we could decipher it. Maybe she likes you so she put it beside her bed to think of you... or maybe it just goes well with the rest of her room.

Honestly, this is a clear example of one of those things ONLY the person in question can answer... go ask her in a lighthearted way
