So the other day, I bought a face wash in Tesco titled "Tesco Vitamin E Face Wash". After checking the ingredients to make sure it had no alcohol in it (completely dries out my skin) I decided it had to be worth the 95c as a filler inner while I decide what I am going to do about my sudden breakout (I never suffered with breakouts until I started using Clinique a few weeks ago)

I have now discovered, that for 95c (!) my skin appears brighter, clearer, my pores are less visible than ever before!

    HIGHLY recommended! :D

Thanks for the heads up Dancingqueen. I bought a bottle of that a few weeks ago and I've been avoiding using it unless absolutely necessary.

Will give it a go tonight :D

Oh must give this a go!!
Similarly I have been using Lidls moisturiser called Iseree I think for the last 2 weeks and I think it's brilliant!! I started using Dermalogica for oily skin about 2 years ago my skin was so oily, then it got really dry and started using a Derm for dry skin but it didn't seem to be helping, a friend said she swears by Lidl moisturiser, i said i'd chance it since it was only about 2.50!! I love it it's so creamy my skin looks and feels way better.
If I like this face wash I'll be saving myself a fortune!!

What is with that stuff? I applied more than enough moisturiser and it just made it worse too! I have oily skin and this gave me dryness which I had never experienced before!

My Mam has used this! Similarly, the creams in Aldi also come highly recommended. I have bought the exfoliator from Lidl too and it's good. I will have to check out that moisturiser!! :)

I found I suffered more breakouts with clinique too!!! Something weird about the moisturiser. I still use the facial soap, which is great, but as soon as I stopped using the moisturiser my skin cleared up! Weird!

I'm so disappointed though, I thought splashing out on skincare products would be better for my skin, not worse. Not to mention the price tag for a barely used bottle of moisturiser!!!

I'm using Clarins at the mo and it's like 50 quid ago. Def goin to give aldi a whizz.

I bought the hand creame from Lidl and it really dried out my hands, even thou it smelt really nice :(

    See ye in Aldi!

I was using H2O moisturiser, €35 a pop - I ran out and was smashed, I didnt have another 35e. Bought Aldi's Aqua Complete moisturiser, its about €3.40, its exactly the same! The H20 was more of a gel than a cream but I can deal with a cream for 30 odd euro less! Delighted with my find :D

My mother uses an Aldi/Lidl cream and says it's just as good as expensive cream. I tried it once and it make my skin very oily. I have oily skin anyway. Currently I use a Decleor cream an find it great.

For my neck/chest I use Johnson's 24 Hour Moisture Facial Moisturiser, as the Decleor cream is 37 euros, far to expensive to use on my neck, since it's only my face that give's me most problems. Oddly enough, I can't use this Johnson's cream on my face, as I break out in spots.

For a daily facial wash, I use Johnson's 3in1 Refreshing Facial Wash and find it great.

    HTH.

I was so disapointed by that Aldi moisturiser, it made my skin terrible.

I've been using Organic Surge from Boots lately and it's quite nice and it's cheap. €10ish and often on buy one get one free.

I'll definitely pick up the 95c face wash!

One of the problems with Clinique is that it was developed for American skin, or so I have been told.

Funny this thread popped up. I spotted a 'teen' range in Tesco; cleanser, moisturiser , facial wipes etc, so both some for the little sis; she is ten but has the beginning of that teenage skin problem...used the eye makeup cleanser myself and gotta say, I love it. Bought it for myself as she doesn't use make-up obviously! It's only one or two euro I think. Great stuff and not at all harsh.

And I second the Aldi face cream. Smell takes a bit of getting used to tho.

It's probably too late, but I returned mine and got a full refund. I got the 3 step rubbish. It dried my skin out so badly that it hurt and the moisturiser just felt like it sat on the top of my skin rather than absorbing. I brought it back, told them and they gave me every cent back. Thank god, it had cost me about 80 quid. The worst money I ever spent.

Thanks OP. I'll have to check that out!

I spend 30euro on that Clinique rubbish and also 28.50 on some cleanser - using the stuff doesn't make my skin feel clean, the Tesco one does, and using the Lidl exfoliator twice a week is doing wonders. I bought the Lidl cream today and hope it works as I've been using the Boots No.7 balancing day and night creams but they don't make my skin look bright. I wanna look bright dammit! Fingers crossed for the Lidl stuff! :)

There's nothing like a good bargain! I started using the creams from Lidl last night and this morning, for 2.19 I chanced buying the day and night ones. Am I too young for anti-wrinkle at 25??

Do you have wrinkles though? Cos if you don't have wrinkles, I wuldn't use an anti-wrinkle cream.

I noticed today, I have some wrinkles under my botton eyelashes and I'm 19 (b-day is in Feb).

Am gonna get some anti-wrinkle cream when am in Dublin in a few weeks.

The Lidl creams are officially amazing! No breakouts since using new stuff and my skin looks bright and healthy for once... I am chuffed.

Cool! 95c ! I am defo getting me some of that when i'm in Tesco next :)

I used the Lidl Q-10 night cream before when I ran out of my Lancome night cream. It was ok, very light and smelled nice. Dirt cheap at only 2 something euros. But I prefer my Lancome!

I am using the Lidl hand cream with the spf4 in it and it is fantastic stuff. Also dirt cheap at about 2 or 3 euro!

Aren't they!! My skin just keeps looking better and better with it, i'm using the one that's for dry skin, it's in a pink jar. Skin is still bit dry in parts but can barely notice it. I got the tesco exfoliating wash and my skin feels so nice after it!!
    Go good cheap skin products!!!

lidl face wipes are great too. I have sensitive skin and cannot use some of the better known brands (simple, bourjois and nivea wipes make my skin red and sore!). Lidl ones are so cheap, do a great job and never had a problem with them.

be careful with the lidl face cream if you have sensitive skin though as that didnt work out so well. havent tried the aldi ones yet have heard they are fab

Thanks for the tip OP must try that cleanser too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,079 ✭✭✭dancingqueen

Wow it's great that so many others feel the same about these cheap products! I don't have mainly dry skin so bought the Q10 day and night anti wrinkle creams. I was a bit worried because I am only 25 and thought i was being a bit premature! We will see... I saw that they have an exfoliator to match the face wash in Tesco... Lidl one seems to be working wonders though so I'll buy it when I've run out of this one!
