What is the 2 pin connector on this card for?

Is it a fan connection but obsolete because it is cooled by the heatsink?

But yeah BGF XFX or whoever built the card probably pressed 2 versions: one with just heatsink, and a fan-cooled variant which ran a little hotter, stock.
