Stereotypes!

With pseudo names or whatever on Boards.ie you don't have to confirm to a particular stereotype, you can go from one opinion to another.

I can be a pc liberal, pinko, commie on one thread or topic and be a conservative, Busher, "tell it as it is" type on another.

I'd hate to be expected to be controversial with everything I write! You don't have to live up to a stereotype on here.

So, do you post here as a stereotypical type of poster or do you post here with an open mind?

PS. Personally, only on a few topics has my opinion been swayed, but on loads of topics I've gone "Yeah, I see his/her point!"

I like a good debate sometimes and I'll play devils advocate even if I don't believe in what I'm saying but I never pretend to be something I'm not. I think thats what you asked...?

I.. don't really conform to a stereotype, I don't see the point. My argument changes depending on the mood I'm in, aka whether I'm in a serious mood or a devil's advocate mood or a pisstake mood.. or a rather intoxicated mood.

Not that you can really tell moods via text, so I suppose I come off a bit schizo sometimes.

haha^ i dont really do the devil's advocate thing. most of my posts at this stage are in chat type threads, but when i do contribute to more opinion based ones, ill always post my genuine opinion. im always open to seeing other sides of things and some threads will change my point of view on topics i started off knowing little about.

no idea what my stereotype would be.

I normally just act the bollox. Do the same on boards also. Majority of my posts are from my mobile phone so I rarely get into a good debate because I couldnt be bothered tapping my phone to type out so much. I do have an opinion on lots of things but I dont give my opinion because someone else is bound to have the same one as me so they save me tapping phone screen. Im an each to their own kinda chap.
