Would it be worth while for this forum? I think it would be great, this forum should be pimped more too imo

What's the point in having hundreds of thousands of users when few of them know how to give constructive feedback or share thoughts on how things could improve?

I think that a non-thanks, anonymous and straightforward system would work here.. a simple thumbs-up - thumbs-down thing together with anonymous posting.

Lots of things are suggested and much of the time the reply is "we'll consider it but other things are further up the list right now"...

maybe there should be an 'In Development' list available to view also?

    Just a few random thoughts..

"In Development" basically boils down to:
    1. Fixing backend stuff you'll never see. (Security/reliability upgrades, hardware juggling and the like)
    2. Responding to and squishing runaway scrapers from yet another social media monitoring startup that doesn't know how to write a spider.
    3. Stopping spam bots and DoS attempts.
    4. Working on stuff given to us by our boss. (Currently: Adverts.ie updates, better metrics/monitoring and trying to increase the amount of traffic the site can take without falling over.)
    5. Fixing critical bugs in boards.ie/adverts.ie. "Critical" usually means loss of data or permissions issues.

If we get to suggestions made from users it's either a) a very slow day, b) a trivial case of using a feature of vBulletin that already exists or c) after hours and on our own time.

I'd love to do more with the suggestions given here but to be honest I don't want to leave you all with the impression that more than a token handful are ever going to see the light of day. Unless boards.ie suddenly gets a ton more money and spends it all on developers, most suggestions from users will be just filed away to be remembered when we get around to next working on whatever component they refer to.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
