    Engineers Without Borders - Ireland
Engineers without borders Ireland – Removing technology as a barrier to development
    Date: 6th April, 2010
    Time: 7.00pm
Venue: Engineers Ireland, 22 Clyde Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4
Admission: Free. All welcome (no you don't have to be an engineer!)

About the event: EWB-Ireland is a non profit organisation for engineers, engineering students and other committed volunteers (thats all scientists and mathematicians too!) interested in applying their technical skills to remove barriers to development.

Most of their activities are based in Ireland with a focus on providing opportunities for volunteers to learn about technology’s role in fighting poverty. This is achieved through training, workshops, research and group projects carried with the co operation of their partner organisations in developing countries.

Representatives from EWB-Ireland will introduce this newly established organisation, its past activity, its plans for the future and how you can get involved. A EWB-UK volunteer will give an insight into their experience improving a water distribution system Himachal Pradesh, India in 2008 and the EWB Ireland committee will be on hand to answer any questions.

Can't attend? Watch it live on Engineers TV! Event password: Barrier1
